Milanne's Ice Cream Parlour, the history of an ice cream business
Milanne's Ice Cream Parlor was a chain of mobile ice cream trucks that could be found daily at events in the Netherlands and Germany for 20 years. The ice cream parlors were built by owner Hans van Dijk. In the first few years, he gained a lot of experience, and the trucks became increasingly larger and better equipped.
All trucks were equipped with their own power supply. Our largest truck used about 50,000 watts at peak times. You should think of power cables 5 cm thick.

In the process of having a mobile ice cream parlor, you encounter many hurdles. What do you do if an ice cream machine breaks down? The supplier certainly wouldn't come to an event to repair it. But, in the summer, it was open every day and in a different location every day.

Hans van Dijk solved this by bringing spare slush and ice cream machines. At that time, we had a large truck. A small soft serve machine weighs about 400 kg, so exchanging it was not that easy, which is why Hans van Dijk came up with a 2.0 solution.
In the winter, he took a refrigeration technician course. And from the next season, all repairs were carried out by him on-site.

Now that he had the knowledge, he established a repair and sales company for soft serve and slush machines, called www.ijsmachine.com. In the summer, he sold ice cream at events, and in the winter, he overhauled and sold slush and ice cream machines.
